2 Chickens

Why going after two goals at once might mean you achieve nothing at all

By

Have you ever tried to catch a chicken? Or even 2 chickens?

No me neither and what a silly way to start a blog.

Ok try again close your eyes imagine watching Rocky 2, he's chasing that chicken with Mick shouting at him.....Ok now are you with me?

And yes in this analogy i'm Mick, despite my best efforts there's no denying the ever growing greys around the sides. Some say it adds character or even makes you look distinguished. For me not so much i'm embracing grumpy old Mick.

How hard was it for him to finally catch that chicken?

How on earth does this transfer to FITISM?

It's all about how we programme and how we goal set. It's hard to both lose body fat and increase muscle mass at the same time, it's much easier to either lose body fat or increase muscle mass. It's hard to PB your back squat and to run a marathon, it's much easier to do one or the other not both at the same time.

Simply put multiple goals often just dilute each other. Pick which means most to you and pursue that.

If you try and catch 2 chickens at the same time you're making your life very difficult. If you try to catch just 1 you might just get it.
