I've learnt things about liver and gut health that are so helpful when you're trying to get a better understanding of how your body works and why we all need to eat in a way that helps us get the best out of ourselves.
I joined kick to get myself back on track after gaining a few extra pounds during my summer holiday!
It was my first experience of KICK so I also wanted to see what it was about.
The first two weeks were better than the last two for me, I trailed off into a few of my bad eating habits towards the end which obviously affected my end result badly but overall I have achieved great results.
My skin is literally glowing, my sleep quality has improved and I feel much healthier in general.
I think the hardest part at the start of KICK is the sugar and caffeine withdrawal!
Sugar is my food nemesis and I've still got a long way to go with controlling my emotional connection to eating but I felt so good after the first few days had passed and the cravings subsided a bit.
The recipes from FITISM Kitchen were amazingly helpful, it's so much easier when you know that something you're cooking is 100% legal and still tastes great.
I didn't do the juicing element because I felt it might be a push too far for me and I didn't want to ruin my progress by being too hungry and end up binge eating!
Community support was great, I like the Facebook group especially, it's good to look on there and see that most people are struggling like you are and pick up their tips and recipes.
All the trainers have been fantastic, I particularly enjoyed doing the finishers which I managed to improve my times on every attempt.
Really enjoyed the extra buddy sessions I did with Rich, he was great at championing me along!
I think KICK has been my favourite course so far, I'm going to use the basis of it for my general eating habits from now on.
That's the best thing I've taken away from it, although I didn't do it 100% and had a few cheats that I shouldn't have, it's rebooted my mind to focus on my eating habits and get more consistency in my training.
To others thinking of doing KICK I say DO IT!!
I've learnt things about liver and gut health that are so helpful when you're trying to get a better understanding of how your body works and why we all need to eat in a way that helps us get the best out of ourselves.
Even if you only use a couple of things you've learned from kick in the long term, I'm sure your liver and gut would thank you for it.
Overall I'm really glad I did kick and feel very positive about achieving my weight loss and fitness goals in the nest few weeks.
Thanks to you all for your help and guidance, it's great to be part of the FITISM family.
