FITISM Falafels

Our falafels are 100% FITISM Legal and super easy to bake. Enjoy them with quinoa and humous or on their own as a snack 


Makes 12-15 falafels 


1 x 400g tin chickpeas (drained)

1 medium onions 

1 red chilli - seeds removed 

1.5 tsp ground cumin 

1.5 tsp ground coriander 

1 tsp chilli powder 

1 handful of coriander 

2-3 tbsp spelt flour 

1/2 tsp salt 


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°C
  2. Drain the chickpeas and add to the food processor 
  3. Roughly chop the onion, chilli, coriander and garlic and add to the food processor 
  4. Add the spices and seasoning 
  5. Blitz in the food processor until totally blended but not too smooth - this takes around 3 - 4 minutes 
  6. Roll the falafels into small balls 
  7. Coat in the spelt flour and transfer to a non-stick baking tray 
  8. Cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown
